Eggless Black Forest cake

Preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit.

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups – maida/all purpose flour,
1 teaspoon- baking powder,
1 teaspoon- baking soda,
1/2 cup- cocoa powder,
1 stick /113 gms-butter, at room temperature,
1 tin/14oz – condensed milk,
1 tsp-vanilla essence,
1 cup – soda(coca- cola/sparkling water)
Cherry syrup
1 cup -water,
3/4 cup- powdered sugar,
8 to 10 count- cherries,
For frosting
1 cup- whipping cream,
3 to 4 tablespoons – powdered sugar,
1/2 teaspoon- vanilla extract
Grated chocolate for garnishing.

Description 
First, Bake chocolate cake–>
Grease the 9*5 inch pan with butter.
Wet ingredients –>
In a bowl,mix butter,condensed milk, vanilla extract and beat well. Keep aside.
Dry ingredients –>
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and cocoa powder.
Now, add dry ingredients to wet ingredients alternating with soda( sparkling water) till dry ingredients and soda are finished.
Pour the batter into greased baking pan.
Bake for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Let it completely cool.
Cherry syrup–>
Boil water, sugar, cherries until pulp of cherries is completely smashed. Let it cool.
For frosting–>
Beat cream, sugar, vanilla essence until cream becomes thick and forms soft peaks.
Cut the cake into 2 layers.
Pour the cherry syrup generously on both layers.
Spread the whipped cream on top of one layer and add some cherries.close the layer with another layer and cover the whole cake with whipped cream.
Decorate with some cherries and chocolate shavings.
Note– 
* baking time depends on the pan you use. Broader pan bakes in lesser time like 35 to 40 minutes.
*refrigerate the whipped cream frosting till you use.
