Sesame seeds and peanuts Ladoo

Sesame seeds is mainly used in month of January(month to honor the harvest) during festivals of Indians. Til/sesame and jaggery are winter perfect food which increases immunity and keeps body warm. Great snack for kids and has a good shelf life. During winters I do in batches and keep it for snacks cravings.

Ingredients
1 cup – peanuts1 cup – rolled oats

3/4 cup – sesame seeds/til

3/4 cup – jaggery

1 teaspoon – cardamom powder

3 to 4 tablespoons – ghee/clarified butter

Description

In a pan, at medium heat, dry roast peanuts until crunchy and well roasted.

Take it out and keep aside in a bowl.

Roast oats for 2 to 3 minutes and keep aside.

Now, roast sesame seeds until slightly brown and seeds puffs up.

Now mix all three roasted ingredients and add powdered jaggery.

In a mixer, grind them to fine powder .

Take it to bowl, add cardamom powder and melted ghee/clarified butter.

Mix everything and make lemon sized balls.

Above recipe makes 12 ladoo’s.

Keep it in a air tight container and enjoy as mid morning snack or for dessert craving.

Note – add 1 or 2 tablespoons ghee, if you find difficulty to make balls.
