Believe me, any upside down cake(inverted) is regular /anytime treat in our house. Let it be banana,pineapple or Apple. We just love the caramelized fruit ,which is juicy at top of the cake and well baked delicious crust at bottom of the cake .
Don’t overbeat the batter and follow the instructions for fail proof ,yummy upside down cake.
1/2 cup /1stick – unsalted butter,
1/2 cup – brown sugar
2 sliced apples
1 stick /1/2 cup – unsalted butter,
1 cup – granulated sugar,
3 eggs @room temperature,
1 teaspoon – vanilla extract,
1/2 cup – milk,
1 cup – All purpose flour,
1 teaspoon – baking soda,
1 teaspoon – cinnamon powder,
1/4 teaspoon – salt,
Preheat the oven at 350 Fahrenheit. Grease 9 inch pan evenly with butter.
Slice 2 apples into pieces .
In a pan, at medium heat, melt butter and add brown sugar.bring it to boil, switch off the stove. Whisk vigorously and pour to greased pan.
Arrange the apples over the sauce.
Cake batter preparation
Beat softened butter and sugar until well combined.add vanilla,eggs and milk.
Mix all dry ingredients,flour,baking powder,salt and cinnamon powder.
Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix well. Cake batter is ready.
Pour the prepared batter to pan over the arranged apples.
Bake for 45 mins or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Take out of the oven. Let it cool for 5 mins and invert on a plate .
Allow it to cool completely and serve with vanilla ice-cream.
