Broccoli Tots are Quick and healthy snack made with finely chopped broccoli ,cheese and egg. Baked and dipped in your favorite ketchup or ranch.
Easy way to add broccoli to kids diet.
1 1/2 cups – broccoli(cut into florets),
2 slices – bread /bread crumbs,
3/4 cup – mozzarella/cheddar cheese,
1 – egg( beaten),
1/2 teaspoon- cumin powder,
1/2 teaspoon – garam masala,
1/2 teaspoon – salt,
2 tablespoons – hot sauce,
Preheat the oven at 375 Fahrenheit’s and line the baking tray with parchment paper.
Bring a pot of water to boil. Sprinkle some salt and add broccoli florets and cook for 4 to 5 mins until tender.
Take out,drain and transfer to food processor or mixer. Pulse for 20 seconds breaking it into small pieces.(don’t over mix)
Tak broccoli into a large bowl, add bread crumbs(use readymade or make powder of bread in food processor) , salt, cumin powder, garam masala, beaten egg,hot sauce and mix well.
Now add cheese to mixture and mix until thoroughly combined.
Take 2 tablespoons of mixture and shape/ mold into tots shape. Arrange them on lined baking sheet .
Bake for 20 mins ,flip and cook for another 20 mins until crispy and light brown.
Take out from the oven and serve with your favorite dips like ketchup,Ranch etc..
