Brussels sprouts fry

Brussels sprout is a vegetable,belongs to cabbage family.popular in Belgium (were grown as early as 13th century).

Brussels sprouts is rich in vitamin , minerals ,antioxidants ,a nutritional addition to your diet.

This recipe is the easiest and quick .

I always have Brussels sprouts as a snack or side dish.

It tastes delicious when cooked properly Crunchy outside and caramlized ,slightly soft inside. It is always a super hit.

Ingredients

2 cups – Brussels sprouts

1 teaspoon – cumin powder

1 teaspoon – salt

1/2 teaspoon – ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon- ginger powder

2 -3 tablespoons – pumpkin seeds

Olive oil

Description

Wash Brussels sprouts and trim the edges,cut into half lengthwise ,collect the leaves which got separated while cutting (which we fry at end for crunchier taste)

In a thick bottomed pan or a cast iron pan heat olive oil.

Add the chopped sprouts, salt and spices . Close the lid and cook for 5 minutes.

Open the lid add pumpkin seeds and collected leaves . Fry by stirring for few more minutes until it is well roasted and golden brown(watch out don’t burn them).

Plate it and it’s ready to eat!!
